ELHT Evidence Services 1:1 Policy. Here's how we can help you:
Aim
The ELHT Evidence Service provides 1:1 support with information and academic skills. Our aim is to promote independent learning by equipping individuals with the skills and confidence required to fulfil tasks for themselves.

1:1 Support
The ELHT Evidence team provide 1:1s covering:
  • Evidence searches (e.g. using online databases)
  • Critical appraisal
  • How to reference
  • Current awareness

Referencing support
The ELHT Evidence Team also help with referencing. The team will not correct references for individuals but rather offer advice on how to improve.
 We can do this by:
  • Checking in-text references (first three paragraphs only)
  • Checking the bibliography/ reference list
  • Answering ‘one off’ referencing queries, including via email.

Services we do not provide:
  • Reading through academic work (e.g. to check content or tone)*
  • Proof reading (e.g. correcting spelling, punctuation and grammar errors)*
  • Completing evidence searches for assessed pieces of work

*For UCLan students, the WISER service may be able to help you.
